The Big Head is a heavier-looking alternative to our standard bow shackle. The oversized pin head gives it a different look while keeping the simple, proven bow shackle design.

BIG HEAD vs STANDARD
Compared with our standard 4.75T bow shackle, the Big Head has a noticeably larger and chunkier pin head and a more substantial overall feel.
If you just need a normal rated bow shackle, the standard 4.75T version does the job. If you want something a bit different and more substantial, go with the Big Head.
TIPS:
- Make sure the shackle is in good condition and the pin is not hard to turn or overstressed.
- Make sure the pin is threaded properly before pulling.
- Half circle back when tightening the pin.
- Always use a steel shackle when connecting at the recovery point instead of a fibre rope or soft shackle.
