Multiple Setup Options — Less Gear Needed - DSB24 GEN2 Dingo Snatch Block
by GeorgeLifting 4WD-RecoveryGearOne block, a few ways to run it
G’day mate,
We get asked this a fair bit — “how do you actually run the Dingo Block?”
Truth is, there’s no one way. That’s the whole point.
With the DSB24 GEN2, you can keep it simple and run whatever setup suits the job.
Straight onto a tree saver
This is probably the cleanest way.
Run it straight onto one of our narrow tree savers — no extra shackle in between.
Less bits, less movement, quicker to set up.
Especially handy when you just want to get it done and keep things tidy.
Soft shackle setup
This is what a lot of guys are running now.
Light, easy to handle, and works well with synthetic rope setups.
Nothing fancy here — just simple and does the job without adding extra weight or clutter.
Steel shackle setup
Still works, no problem.
If that’s what you’ve already got in your kit, you’re good to go.
Strong, familiar, and gets it done.
Why it matters
Every extra connection you add is just one more thing that can move, twist, or slow you down.
Sometimes it’s needed — sometimes it’s not.
Having the option to run it different ways just means you can keep things simple when you want to.
Final word
You don’t need to carry half the shed with you.
Set it up how it makes sense for the job, keep it clean, and get on with it.
That’s all this is about.
Built for real recovery.
