Dingo Snatch Block DSB22 & DSB24 GEN2 – The Story Behind It

Dingo Block – The Story Behind It

We didn’t set out to invent something new.

We started by looking at what people were already using — rings, traditional snatch blocks — and more importantly, how they actually behave in real recoveries.

Out in the field, things aren’t perfect.
Angles change. Loads shift. Winching stops and starts.

That’s where we kept seeing the same issues:
rope slipping out of rings, heat building up on longer pulls, and setups that just didn’t feel controlled.

So we went back to basics.

Instead of chasing something “new”, we focused on what actually works —
a controlled line path, reduced friction, and a system that stays stable under load.

That’s where the Dingo Block comes from.

We took proven ideas, reworked them, and built it specifically for modern rope-based recovery.
Designed around soft shackles.
Built to handle real-world angles.
And simplified so there’s less to go wrong.

The GEN2 version takes it a step further —
a larger body for easier handling, and a push-and-twist pin that keeps everything together.
No loose parts, no overcomplication — just a cleaner, more practical setup.

At the end of the day, it’s not about reinventing the wheel.

It’s about making gear that actually works when you need it.
