There is a production issue causing one of the rope's 12 strands to be non-smooth. The breaking force is not affected.

The rope is sold with plain ends. It can be customised with soft eyes (with a $20 each charge). A protective sleeve will be fitted with the soft eye, though please note the total length of the rope will be 30 metres. 

What are HMPE ropes? 

HMPE stands for High Modulus Polyethylene. It's also commonly referred to as UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and HPPE (High-Performance Polyethylene). HMPE ropes are high-performance ropes, with a diverse range of useful properties that make them ideal for many industrial and marine applications.
